Fit For Life

Fit For life is a 24 hour fitness studio located in Remuera Auckland. Our gym members benefit from close supervision by our experienced trainers during our normal gym hours (6am – 6pm Mon-Friday). In addition, our gym is a 24-hour facility which allows our members to come in via swipe card access at any time of the day or night and on any day in the calendar year.

Our service is not confined to the 4 walls of our gym. We train our clients in Remuera, Eastern Bays and Central Auckland at their homes, in their offices and / or local parks trails.  Our trainers run a variety of Bootcamp and Outdoor Exercise Classes each day at a range of times. Non-Gym members are welcome to partake in any of our classes on a casual basis. All of our classes are run by experienced trainers who pride themselves on delivering a quality service which is both enjoyable and effective in helping you towards your Health, Injury Rehabilitation, Weight Loss and Fitness Goals.

Fit For Life offer Home Exercise Programs. Our programs can be designed to complete at your home or office with a minimum of exercise equipment. You have full access to detailed photos and descriptions on how to complete each exercise within your tailored program.

How We Can Help

Fit For Life Gym Members

Our Gym Members benefit from and enjoy exercise programs designed specifically for their needs. We have trainers who specialize in Injury Rehabilitation, Weight Loss and Sports Specific Conditioning.

To ensure that our trainers can design safe and effective programs, we take the time to understand our member’s individual goals. We design their programs with these goals in mind and take into account our Clients Exercise History, Health Questionnaires and any feedback they have from their Referring Specialists. Our members are encouraged to update their programs every 6 weeks so as to prevent boredom, and so as to promote continued progression in their fitness goals. There are no additional charges for your program design or your program updates when you join as a Fit for Life gym member.

Fit For Life offer Home Exercise Programs to Non-Members which can be monitored via the Phone or Internet. Our programs can be designed to complete at your home or office with a minimum of exercise equipment. You have full access to detailed photos and descriptions on how to complete each exercise within your tailored program.

Personal Training

We offer Personal Training to both members and non-members. Our experienced Personal Trainers deliver Personalized Assessments, Tailored Program Design, Ongoing Motivation and regularly extend your exercises as you improve towards your goals. It is a fun way to provide variation to your exercise regime and an effective way to push your-self safely beyond what you would normally achieve when exercising by yourself. You can choose the level of support that you would like from your trainer or be advised by your trainer on how often you should see them to help achieve your desired results.

Our Trainers work with clients on-site at Fit For Life Gym or will travel to your Home / Office in Remuera, Eastern Bays and Central Auckland. We have also expanded to the Bay of Plenty where we offer Personal Training and we run outdoor Bootcamps as well as Corporate Events and Fitness Weekends

Fitness Classes

Our Trainers run a variety of Outdoor and Gym-Based Exercise Classes each day at a range of times. We run Boxing and Boot Camp classes for all levels. Our Bootie Camp classes are tailored more to the female clients and their goals. Non-Gym members are welcome to partake in any of our classes on a casual basis. All of our classes are run by experienced trainers who pride themselves on delivering a quality service which is both enjoyable and effective in helping you towards your Health, Weight Loss and Fitness Goals. Safe techniques are taught and monitored at all times to achieve safe and effective results. Our experienced trainers who run these classes will push clients outside of their comfort level so as to achieve an intense workout.

These classes  are run on-site at Fit For Life Gym and also at various outdoor locations in Remuera, Eastern Bays and Central Auckland. We have also expanded to TaurangaBay of Plenty where we run outdoor Bootcamps as well as Corporate Events and Fitness Weekends

Program Design

Our Personal Trainers will design Programs for you to complete at home or any gym. These programs are specifically designed for you, your goals and your abilities. You will be set up with an online account which has photos and descriptions of each of the exercises that you are prescribed. Your trainer will update your program / programs and detail how often you should complete the programs. You will have the full support of your trainer online to provide support and help you when required.

Injury Rehabilitation Programs

Fit for Life Gym was initially created to help bridge the gap between hands on Physical Therapies and General Exercise. We have found that clients who have gone through our Rehabilitation Programs respond well to our coordinated approach between the Physical Therapies and Exercise. We focus on teaching the body to Move correctly on Strength and Conditioning so as to fully prepare the body for activities of daily living, work, and sports / recreation. The goal in our rehabilitation programs is not only to provide advice and support to help treat painful injuries or conditions but also to educate our clients so as to prevent future Pain and Re-injury. We teach you to use your bodies more effectively and encourage you to live an active life. Our advice extends to those wanting to sit, stand or walk more comfortably to those intending to run a marathon, play sport or to be more productive in their workplace.

Our Philosophy in Injury Rehabilitation

Our goal is to provide an exceptional service where we teach our clients to gain control over their own Health / Fitness / or Injury. To ensure longterm health benefits, we focus our attention on factors which our clients can control. We teach our clients practical steps on how to implement positive changes in their Diet, Daily Activity Levels and their Exercise habits so as to achieve long term Health, Fitness and Weight loss. Factors such as posture deviations, movement dysfunctions and muscle imbalances which can all contribute to pain or injury are assessed and we show our clients how to manage these so as to prevent future pain or re-injury.

By correcting these issues we are able to provide the means to maintain long term changes. We aim to continue our client’s progress beyond feeling comfortable. We want to enhance the way our clients live and in doing so, help improve their Health and Fitness to where they are able to live an active and full lifestyle.

  1. Do Fit For Life trainers do house calls?

    Yes, our trainers can come to you and provide personalised training at your home. Please contact us for an individual callout quote.

  2. I am exercising for 45 minutes 3-5x weekly to lose weight. I want to do more but can't fit in a longer workout in my lunch break.

    Talk to your trainer about the intensity at which you are training at. Remember when you are exercising that you are trying to challenge your body beyond what it is able to achieve to elicit a change. This doesn't mean you have to 'thrash yourself'; but you need to continue to extend an aspect of your workout so your body has to adapt to the increased demands. Using walking as an example, you can increase intensity by walking up hills or try to walk a set route faster each time you go out. This is a good way to increase how much you do without just increasing how long you walk.
